Great Location! 2 bdr/1 ba large and charming apt., Walking distance (within 1/5 mile to Garrett Memorial Hospital and historic district including antique shops, dining, farmers market, train station, library, hospital, courthouse, pharmacy). Short drive to Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort area, Swallow Falls State Park, and many more!. You’ll love my place because it is charming, Stain Glass Windows, and Coin Laundry on Site! Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Large and charming 2-bedroom, fully remodeled, 1 bathroom with shower tub, large closets in each bedroom. Great for a long ski weekend or an anytime getaway. Very cozy and peaceful setting. Bedroom 1 has a King Bed and large windows with stain glass, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and two nightstands with drawers as well as a sitting area and gas heater. Living room has new large leather sofa with massage chairs with gas heater that heats bedroom 1 and the living space nicely. Remodeled kitchen has all appliances, coffee station, and anything you could need for a short or long term stay. Back indoor patio connects to bedroom #2. Large windows, and Coin Laundry on Site! Heat units in two rooms. TV in the livingroom but no Cable Services. Wi-Fi available and Netflix access. Apartment is located in a former Large Victorian Home that served as a Vacation home for a Federal Judge in DC many years ago. The home was converted into individual apartments, each with their own kitchens and living area. It is very vast and charming with stain glass windows. Shares front porch patio with new and inviting seating up front, wooded area behind the house with additional seating. Guests will be able to access the entire apartment and common areas of building such as the front large porch with patio seating, and back yard area which is full of trees for some relaxation. Coin washer and dryer are located in the basement of the building and shared with 4-other apartments. I will be available by phone throughout the day if needed. The On-site building manager is also onsite to help during your stay. Oakland, Maryland is a cute and quaint town, with easy access to Deep Creek Lake Area, Swallow Falls, lots of shops, the Maryland Amish Community is a short drive away, Farmers Market is walking distance and a train station for the B&O Railroad. The apartment is located right in the heart of downtown and walking distance to shops, bank, library, and downtown areas including the farmers market and local museums. The home is on a beautiful and safe street that is walking distance to everything you might need, pharmacy, food and dining, bank, library, courthouse, farmers market, other shops. A Walmart is located a mile away. A car is recommended for driving other distances however a local taxi company is available. Uber does service Oakland if needed. There is no public transportation or bus in town. There is currently no AC in the apartment or building however the building stays cool and has ceiling fans available. Single Window AC Unit in main living area recently installed over summer but currently does not have central AC. Heating is being updated to have a central unit but currently has electric plug in heaters and stays warm with them. Other residents live in the apartment so we ask for guests to respect quiet hours from 9pm-8am.
